香港の高層住宅火災で146人の死亡が確認される
A huge fire broke out at a high-rise apartment complex in the Tai Po district of Hong Kong on November 26, 2025. The blaze destroyed most of the buildings and, as of today, the death toll has reached 146. Many people remain missing, and rescue teams continue to search the burnt-out towers.
The fire started at the complex under renovation and spread rapidly. Investigators say flammable building materials and faulty fire alarms helped the flames move fast, making escape very difficult for residents.
The tragedy has shocked the city. Many mourners have visited the site to leave flowers and pay respects to the victims. Officials have also begun arrests and launched investigations into possible safety violations and poor oversight of the renovation work.
