However, some facilities are hesitant to switch to full outsourcing of their meals. They want to keep some homemade cooking while getting help where needed.
Global Kitchen's service offers a flexible solution. Facilities can use it step-by-step, starting with only special event meals or just breakfast. They can also use single items alongside their own cooking. The company offers about 500 types of dishes, including options for different textures and nutritional needs.
At the trade show, visitors can see demonstrations of reheating cabinets and taste the food. The company aims to show how facilities can reduce kitchen workload while maintaining stable meal service. A related seminar in March will explain these ideas further.
The service highlights a growing trend in Japan's aging society: finding practical ways to support care workers while keeping the personal touch in meal preparation.
